Gracie Mae's Fairy Party

Grace turned 5 yesterday. We celebrated her with a fairy/Tinkerbell party with some of her girl friends, and our cute neighbor boy Austin...who is young enough he didn't mind that it was a REALLY girly party. We started out by giving them their fairy wings and sending them outside to hunt for magic marbles and jewels (ring pops).

Next they got to make their own fairy houses. They painted and decorated and just made them look so fun. Really they all turned out so unique and cute. They loved this activity.

Throughout the whole party, Jon's amazing aunt was painting masterpieces on the children's faces. She is so so talented. And she made them balloon flowers too.

I am pretty sure that one of the main reasons that Grace chose to have a fairy party, was this cake. She saw it on pinterest while we were looking for ideas and she was certain that she needed to have it. It turned out pretty cute, but it sure was a lot of work. All worth it though to see how much she loved it.

Here are some pictures of the food that we had for the kids. We just had snacks because it was in the afternoon.

The kids all got fairy wands to match their wings, and Austin got a cool boy wand.

We played "pin the fairy on the flower" and the kids got to each pick one of Tinkerbell's fairy friends to try to pin on the center of the flower, which cute Grace spent lots of time coloring herself the day before.

We absolutely love our Gracie Mae and we are so lucky to have her in our family.
