Summer Catch Up: Jackson's birthday

I haven't posted in so long, so I am giving you a fair warning now, the next few posts will be very picture heavy for a quick catch up on the summer so far. I really can't believe we just have a few more weeks of summer. Addie and Grace start school on August 6th, right around the corner. I am not sure how I feel about that. Some days, when they are fighting and not doing their chores and making a mess of my house every second, I am feeling great about it. But on rare days like today, when all three kids played so nicely together all morning, I feel sad and not quite ready to give them up.

Well first let's talk about how quickly my baby is growing up. Boohoo! I want to keep him little forever, but he went right ahead and turned two in June. He loves firetrucks a lot, actually all trucks or things that go and make loud noises are pretty much awesome in his mind. He is such a typical boy. The firetruck cake was fun to make and he loved it, which made the many hours I spent on it worth it. We love Jackson so much, he is such a sweet kid and makes us laugh constantly with the cute things he says. While we were in Utah for a month, he really started talking so well, he talks in cute complete sentences a lot now. He also parrots what we say constantly as well, which is so adorable. I love when they start talking and you get to understand what is really going through their minds all the time. He loves trucks, trains, airplanes etc. Grandma Margaret gave him a big book of trucks, and he wants to read it and look at the pictures constantly. He really loves to watch the garbage truck every Tuesday morning. He loves to sing and to play with his sisters. He says the cutest prayers ever. And still loves to cuddle with me. 2 year olds really are my favorite.

Well done on the cake! 2 is my favorite age too. I can't believe your girls start school August 6, that's so early!
