The girls and I have been trying to stay busy, so that we don't go crazy missing Jon while he is gone all the time. Today Addie got to meet Sid at story time. Can you tell she was thrilled?
I am positive it is the most annoying kid show, but she loves it. And today at lunch she told me all the food groups in the food guide pyramid and categorized each food we were eating into the groups. When I asked her where she learned that, she told me it was from Sid the Science kid. At least it is teaching her something. We went to Tohono Chul yesterday and we loved it. There was a little river to race boats on in the children's garden. Grace and Addie both shed tears when I dragged them away from it.
Do you like how I pretend Gracie's hair is long enough for a clip? Lately after I get Grace dressed in the morning, she will crawl into the bathroom and reach up to the bow board and say "peety" because she wants me to put a pretty thing in her hair. It is so endearing.
Addie was obsessed with the snakes at the snake show. It was crazy, she is afraid of most things, but snakes she couldn't get enough of. Her favorite one was the coach whip snake...he was pink (and not pictured here).

Last week was my birthday. I turned a lot more than 1, like 29 more than 1. If 40 is the new 30, is 30 the new 20? 30 feels a lot younger than I imaged it would. It was actually my golden birthday too. Jon and my girls spoiled me by spending time with me and with the best present. My kindle...I love it!
