When I got back, I found out that our little baby is still in breech position. This is not good. Many of you know I have been planning and gearing up for a completely natural birth this time around. So the news that I will probably have to have a c-section was not well received. Especially because after you have a c-section it is harder to find a doctor that will let you do it naturally with the subsequent pregnancies. So we are trying everything to get this little gal turned around. I have all these silly exercises I have to do...like hand stands in the pool, shining a light and playing music at the bottom of my stomach, visualizing her turning (apparently she can read my mind). If she hasn't turned by Monday, they are going to do an external version. Meaning they are going to physically turn her from the outside. Everyone I talk to that has had it done, tell me it hurts like crazy, gives you circular stretch marks, and most of the time the baby ends up turning back or they have to do an emergency c-section because they baby gets in distress. Great. I told them it is not a good time with Jon just starting finals next week, but they didn't seem to care. Apparently if we wait any longer, there won't be room to get her turned. Whatever...it doesn't look like there is room now. I am just hoping and praying she will turn herself before Monday. But I think I should probably pack my hospital bag now, just in case I end up having a baby next week.
On a lighter note, my husband gave me beautiful flowers, yummy candy, and took me to the Cheesecake factory for my birthday today. He is the best.
This is a picture from dinner.

Here I am blowing out candles (because according to Addie, candles are essential for a real birthday celebration) on my delicious piece of Cheesecake. Which I don't feel a bit guilty about eating because I am 9 months pregnant....there have to be some perks to this right?

Maur I love your short hair! I hope everything goes well with the baby and that you can get that little baby to turn internally!! How crazy and scary!! I am glad you got to have a wonderful birthday night with Jon!
These Gary comments are from me, Lindsey, I am on my dads computer and forgot that it would show his ID- But he wishes you a happy birthday also :)
don't worry--baby will probably turn, but if you do have a c-section, it's no big deal and surprisingly, there are a lot more doctors these days that do v-backs since c-sections are so common. and btw, NEVER feel guilty for eating the cheesecake. and love your new hairdo!
i love your hair! you're so beautiful, maurine. :)
i hope the baby turns herself around and that everything goes well with your delivery. take good care of yourself and eat as much cheesecake as you want!
maurine you look so cute 9 months pregnant! i hope everything goes well and that she turns. good luck!
How exciting and crazy! Good luck this week with getting that baby turned...and all that goes with that! We will be in Tucson on grad day, the 14th; sounds like you may be the mother of 2 by then. Have fun!!!
It took me a second to realize how you had that picture (that I took)before I even downloaded the wedding pictures to my computer (today). You are a beautiful gal! Happy Birthday again.
Your hair looks great! It is so nice having short hair. It is easier to do and isn't nearly as hot in the summer. I hope everything goes well with the delivery. It is a scary thing when they are breached. You are a brave, brave woman to want to do natural birth if it works out that way. I don't know if I could do it. I am very excited to see what she will look like. Goodluck! I will be waiting for the updates from Amy.
WOW!! So out of the loop here, we obviously haven't talked in a long time I didn't even know you were prego! CONGRATS and i hope all goes well with the turning business! Let's catch up soon! Lots of love
Great hair cut! I can't believe your baby is nearly here! Good luck with the baby turning. It doesn't sound fun, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
