Halloween

We had a great Halloween. Addie got to dress up pretty much everyday last week for various celebrations. We had a law school party, a ward carnival, a story time costume parade, and trick or treating. She loved every moment of it. Here are some pictures of our cute little pink poodle Fi-Fi.
Note for next year: It was 75 degrees while we were trick-or-treating at 7:30pm, and Addie was sweating, no need for a fleece and hooded costume (if we can avoid it...Addie wouldn't be swayed this year).

This was my lame attempt to have a cute Halloween dinner. I made spider rolls. The chili that was planned didn't sound good to me that night, so we had yummy pasta with them. Well Jon and I did, Addie prefers her noodles plain, whatever.

We went trick-or-treating in a gated neighborhood behind our complex. We made a wrong turn at first and went into a retirement neighborhood, and the first door we knocked on said they hadn't had a trick-or-treater in 8 years. So they gave her this huge box of Dots, and they seemed thrilled to see her in her cute costume. But we quickly left that neighborhood and went to the other gated one that has tons of young kids. Addie thought it was fun that random people were giving her candy. Sometimes she was even brave enough to say "trick or treat".

How fun! Love the story about the no trick or treaters for 8 years (we didn't even get 1 this year)!!! I have a recipe for taco soup (my kind of chili) that you can't go wrong with - it is SO easy cuz you just dump everything into a crockpot - and super SUPER delicious! I will email it to you if you like! I
