So we have been trying to make the best of our last summer here. Here are a few pictures of activities that we have been doing.
The 4th is my favorite holiday, and sadly I didn't get any pictures on the 4th. Jon and I ran the 10K freedom run in the morning. It was a fun thing to do and there were so many participants this year. I love running down the parade route and having people cheer us on. It is motivating. Jon decided he was just going to run with me at my pace, and actually slowed his sprint a little at the end to let me win...he definitely knows my competitive nature well. It was fun and I am glad we did it. We had a BBQ with my family and then we went to a park to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks.
Here is a picture from the next day when Jeffrey and Jason preformed at the festivities downtown. We walked around the little craft booths and decided that we need to get more involved in the freedom festival activities because they had a lot of fun things going on there.
This last weekend we went camping up at Rock Canyon campground. It was a blast and Addie even slept pretty well in her port-a-crib in the tent.
Addie enjoyed Grandpa and Grandma playing guitar and singing while the boys and Jon were filming more scenes in their movie (family members should be anticipating the debut of the movie at the Pinata Reunion 2008).
Rock Canyon Campground is in the canyon right above the temple, but the only way to drive there is drive up Squaw Peak and keep going past Hope campground, it is a beautiful drive and this is the look out through the canyon.

You didn't mention your final time on the 10K. Did you make your goal? People would be impressed by your blistering pace! We love you guys.
I didn't know you were moving. We are so out of touch. Where are you going and when? Miss you.
I was remembering that 4th of July too! Elder Daines married my sister and he was reminding me that when the fireworks started we all had to move because our view was obtstructed by a tree! So funny. I am excited for your move, what an adventure!!!
You are such a good blog-updater. Looks like you are making the most of your last days in Provo. I can't believe you are moving! When do you move? I will be in town ready to see everybody on the 8th or 9th and will be there til the 14th. Hopefully we can plan a couple of fun get-togethers!
Hi Maurine- This is Rebekah Thompson (now Saltsman), Teagan Tomlin's roommate back in Stover Hall, freshman year. Don't ask how I found your blog- I have a tendency to follow links from blog to blog :) Congrats on the recent 3 year anniversary and the move. I didn't read enough to find out where you were moving though :) Your daughter is also beautiful!
