Addie decided to do soccer this fall. It has been fun and also hard to watch. Little kids are so funny when they first learn to play and it ends up being a big ball of kids surrounding the ball all the time. I know that they will get better and learn, but it is so frustrating to watch. I laced up my old cleats the other day to practice with her and it made me realize how much I miss playing. I love that game. It is so fun to play. I wish I had people to play with or a league to be on like there was in college.
Well Addie scored a goal last week. I was so proud of her. I have been trying to tell her not to give up when she is dribbling. Many times she will kind of just shy away when someone challenges her when dribbling. But she dribbled it all the way from her position in defense and finished it off with a score. She was thrilled. Especially since it was only the second goal her team has scored this year.

"Traig" I will have to verify spelling on that one. Jon and some of his closest friends growing up.
The happy couple
Halloween. It might possibly be my least favorite holiday. I have never been one that loves dressing up. Even as a child. I am not all about the gory or scary side of the holiday either. And all the candy we let our kids have is pretty sick. Plus then it sits around tempting me all day! Oh well, I try to be a good sport for my kids.
Jon had a cute idea for Grace and Jackson's costume this year that was pretty easy to throw together and Addie really wanted to be a black cat, done. Jon's real motivation was to come away with a cash prize from our small town costume contest, unfortunately the judges were 3 old people and they must have not thought it was funny. But boy were they the crowd favorite! Granny Grace and Grandpa Jack.
