We had a great Halloween. We only got about 5 trick or treaters this year. I bought way too much candy and now I am stuck with it in my house. I thought we would get more because we live in a neighborhood with lots of kids now, but the town we live in does this big party on main street and they supply the candy for the houses on the street and everyone basically goes there to trick or treat. The coolest house was one that had a pirate ship on the lawn, complete with captain Hook and Mr. Smee. Across from the ship was a tree house looking thing that said "Lost Boys Only" and the lost boys and Peter Pan were hanging out there. It was the most popular house on the block.
Anyways, Addie was so excited to pass out candy. So I felt a little bad we only got a few. Mostly they were older kids too. Usually my rules is, if they look old enough to drive themselves to my house they don't get candy and I tell them to go home. The ones that came by at 9:15 were definitely in that category, but Addie ran to the door and was super excited, so I let her give them some. I laughed a little when the one gal held out her purse for candy.
This is how Grace felt about being a dog for Halloween.

This is how Addie felt about being Snow White.

We changed Grace to a princess for actual Halloween night and she was much happier!

Jon's parents came up and spent the day with us on Saturday. It was so fun to have them here. Here we are at the trunk or treat.

Did you straighten Addie's hair in that one picture? Your girls look so cute. Grace just needs to be squeezed and kissed all the time, doesn't she. Sounds like a fun town event.
