Fake and Real Life

Before Jon started his real job and hence real life, we decided to take time to enjoy our last few care free days together. We just stayed a little resort on our way up to our new city of residence, but we relaxed and had lots of fun together. At the end of the stay I turned to him and said, "Do we have to start real life? I really like fake life."
Jon started his job this week. We all had a rough first day without each other. Grace didn't understand why he was gone all day. Blissful August must have wiped her memory of life when Jon studied all day and night. All day long she would put her arms in the air and say, "Where Daddy go?" and then answer her own question, "bye, bye".
Addie also started preschool this week. She was so excited about it. She talked about it nonstop for days straight. I heard her say to Grace, "You aren't going to see me much after tomorrow, I have school and you will miss me a lot." Grace just kept right on playing with her doll. But Addie was right, Grace did miss her. But it is nice to have a little one on one time with my baby too.Yesterday we took some time to hike and explore cool places that are so close to where we live. I think we are going to like it here.
