Surprise!!

Last week Addie and I went up to Utah and surprised my family. My brother and my twin brother-in-laws were graduating from BYU, so it was great to celebrate that big accomplishment with them. It was so fun to surprise my family. I had been planning it for a few months, and had a few accomplices, but for most of my family it was a genuine surprise. It was a great week despite the fact that it is totally still winter-like in Utah and I packed for spring (snow at the end of April is just silly) and that I had to leave my cute husband here to study for finals.

Since my birthday was right around the corner we celebrated a little while I was there. Here is a picture of the yummy ice cream cake. I don't really enjoy cake, so I used my friend Lindsey's amazing recipe to make a delicious ice cream cake. We liked it so much that we made it again yesterday for my real birthday so Jon could try it.Jon spoiled me rotten on my birthday with beautiful flowers, treats, and tickets to see Wicked when they come in July to Phoenix. Hooray! Addie sang the happy birthday song to me all day, and she slept in...that was a fabulous present from her.
