Addie turned 1 on Jan 24th and I have been meaning to post a picture to celebrate, but my laptop died so I couldn't for a while. Anyway she had a great birthday and we had a fun family party at my parent's house. She loves all the presents that she got and she especially loved the cake and ice cream.
Addie is the joy of our lives. She is just so fun and is developing a darling personality. She teases us and makes jokes all the time. Her favorite thing lately is the Baby Signing Time movies and would watch them all day long if we would allow it. She knows most of the signs from the movies and it is so fun to be able to communicate better with her. She is slowly warming up to people she sees regularly like my family, but still won't let most people hold her besides Jon and I. She is one of the most observant kids I know...whenever she hears something or sees something she hasn't heard or seen before, she looks at me wide eyed (and usually jumps in my lap) and whispers "was dat", it is funny. She is working on walking, but is much too cautious to really give it a try. She loves to cuddle on our laps and have us read books to her. Lately she has been trying to sing and it is so cute. It is strange that it has only been a year because I can hardly remember life without her. What a sweet baby we are so lucky to have her.
