Addie's Frozen Party!

To say that my girls are in love with the movie Frozen, is a total understatement. It is an obsession here at our house like you have no idea. So Addie's birthday party theme, was a no brainer. We had a great day with a lot of her cute little friends. 68 degrees and sunshine in January makes me happy, and made for a great outdoor party at the park. Jon's original idea was to take his truck up the mountains to get some snow and bring it down for the kids to play in, but it has been so warm here the last few weeks, that there really isn't any. So his back up plan was ice blocking. And the kids absolutely LOVED it.

But the hit of the party was Jon's aunt. We invited her to just come and enjoy the party, but of course she came prepared to entertain. She pulled out her gear and started face painting and twisting balloons for the kids. She is a real artist, her face paintings were beautiful.
They followed her around like she was the pied piper. Seriously, she was everyone's favorite part of the party.

Pin the nose on Olaf, and yes she does have a onsie as her blindfold, I forgot to bring one and it was what I had in the diaper bag, it actually kept them from cheating by looking under the blindfold.
10 of the cutest girls around!

We strung crystal beads on white pipe cleaners that I twisted together, to make snowflakes.

Here are some close ups of the table, and the food. The pails I just got at walmart for like a dollar each and filled them with "snowman parts" (stick pretzels, carrots, and marshmallows and raisins). I made Olaf heads out of little powdered donuts, snowflake sugar cookies with my cookie press, jello jiggler ice cubes, melted snowman water, and of course the cake and the candy ice. It was super fun to make.

So cute, I had forgotten the joys of ice blocking, I'm now searching for a hill to do this for mutual! Cute frozen party! I love that cake with ice shards, nice work friend!

You grandma Maurine would be proud...from what I hear she was a great party planner and even wrote a book with her friend Blanche Sheffield on themed parties.
