I am pretty sure Grace just realized he is here to stay and this week has been pretty bad for her. Luckily she doesn't take it out on him, she really is soft and sweet with him. She takes it out on me, because I don't have time to help her as much. When she is mad she tells me that she isn't going to give me hugs or kisses anymore. It is pretty heartbreaking. Quite an adjustment, I am just glad she doesn't resent him. We also all have colds this week even poor little Jackson. Welcome to the world buddy.

Jackson Tanner
Today my sweet little boy is 1 month old! I can't believe it has already been a month. I haven't been the greatest at updating my blog, and since I have a new baby I don't really have the time to hash out all the details about this kid, but lets just say, we like him a lot and we are glad he is in our family. We didn't have him on the side of the freeway in Black Canyon City as Jon feared we would. We made the 2 hour drive to the hospital just fine. I ended up doing the birth naturally, and boy was it painful...not that I thought it wouldn't be, but it is hard to fathom how painful it is unless you have done it. My water broke right when they were getting me checked into my room (at that point I was a 4) and he was born about 30 minutes after that. So that last 30 minutes was pretty intense and fast. My midwife wasn't even there yet. The nurse had to call whatever doctor was around until she got there. The doctor that came in was a family practice doctor not even an ob, but she held him in until my midwife got there and then they made me push him out slow. I was pretty insistent that I wanted to get him out faster but they wouldn't let me. Most pain I have ever felt. But he is totally worth it. He was so alert when he came out and I was able to get up and walk around after. The recovery was great, way better than my other two. And I feel like I bonded with him way faster. Anyways here is a few pictures of the cute little guy.

Congratulations on your little guy! I didn't even know you were peregnant. I did Geneva's birth naturally and it was painful, but worth it I think. I've never done it the other way so it was interesting to see your perspective.
