Yesterday Grace turned 7 months old. And this week she has started doing two very cute things. She clearly says "Mama". Jon was skeptical about this one because he hadn't heard her say it yet, he also hasn't been home much this week with finals in full swing, so this is not surprising. But this morning she was in our bed, because I am lazy like that and I wasn't ready to get up at 6:30am. And she would say, "mama" and then lay her head down on me and then she lift her head up and repeat it. Jon believed me then, and he started saying "dada" over and over.
She also did her first sign yesterday. She started signing "more" at dinner when she wanted more puff cereal things. It makes me really happy. I love that she is starting real communication with us. I hate that she is getting her top front teeth and that she wakes up every couple hours at night wanting to be comforted. It makes me really tired.

So fun when they can actually start communicating! And so not fun when they are up at night. Hope those teeth come in quickly!
